Join us to be aware of human trafficking risks: IOM organizes a film screening on the World Day against Trafficking in Persons
30 July is the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, and every year International Organization for Migration (IOM), Mission in Ukraine marks this day with activities and events to raise public awareness of human trafficking.
According to IOM estimates, in Ukraine the share of domestic trafficking cases in 2018 raised up to 15.4% (compared to 12.5% in 2017).
This year jointly with our governmental and international partners IOM Ukraine hosts A WOMAN CAPTURED documentary screening. The film is about Marish, a 52-year-old Hungarian woman who has been kept by a family as a domestic slave for 11 years.
The film itself is in Hungarian with English and Ukrainian subtitles. It has received more than 20 awards at different film festivals all over the world.
